Happy Thanksgiving!!

I'm hoping that all of you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!! Remember to cherish each and every moment--life is too short--and can be altered in the blink of an eye--let those around you know that they are loved and appreciated!!

Feeling just a tad sorry for myself

*sighs* ... the contest I entered w/my wildlife pictures didn't even get so much as mentioned....... of course they did have over 70,000 entries---but ..still..... DAMN!! :-(

I'mmmmmmmmmmmmmm back.

I've been with no computer... has anyone missed me???

I'm thinking about opening my own little restaurant. Just a few sandwiches--only open from about 11-2; and perhaps being open 2x a week for dinner from about 5-8.

Which will explain some of my next food pictures as I am working on making new sandwiches.

"Diabetic Heaven"

So, last night- I accidentally gave my daughter the wrong insulin- I gave her 42 units of Humalog (the kind she takes for her carbs she consumes (she takes 1 unit for every 15 carbs... do the math.. scary!!))..instead of her nighttime Lantus..luckily... her doctor was on call--we had to try and get almost 300 carbs down her--talk about 'diabetic heaven' for her--ice cream and several Monsters later..we got it done!

Its a good thing I noticed what I had done before she went to bed--she would of dropped SO fast and probably gone into a diabetic coma before I would of ever known. :-(

Talk about feeling like a failure--we have been doing this since she was 3.. this has never happened. I was really worried!!.. and felt just awful especially in the middle of the night when all that sugar hit her.. it didn't stay down long. :-(

Okay... so I get messages that my picture/s are featured.......... then I go to find them.. so I can see who did the suggesting........ because I like to send personal messages.................... but when I go to the photo page... I can never find them.
